Efficient C Code for ARM Devices ( Vortrag )

Learn how to Make Your C Code Fly on ARM

Referent: Chris Shore, ARM
Vortragsreihe: Implementierung
Zeit: 29.11.16 14:45-15:25

You can make your C code better - quickly, cheaply and easily. Simple techniques are capable of yielding surprising improvements in system performance, code size and power consumption. This session looks at how software applications can make most efficient use of the underlying architecture to deliver significant improvements in performance, code size and power consumption. All you need is a little inside knowledge about the ARM architecture. You will learn tricks which you can use t6he day you get back to your office!

What activities consume most time in a project?
Does that match the priorities of engineers?
How much time should be spent optimizing?
Do coding standard help?

Four main sections considering:
- Programming language features
- Hardware capabilities
- Execution platform
- Development tools

Optimization is examined in the light of all these different areas.

Nutzen und Besonderheiten

Participants will learn: - Tricks for efficient coding - Simple techniques for improving performance - Code structure to target the ARM architecture more efficiently
